This marks Gabriel's professional debut after he missed Cleveland's first preseason game with a hamstring injury

Rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel will start for the Cleveland Browns in Saturday's preseason game at Philadelphia, the team announced. Drafted in the third round in April, Gabriel missed the preseason opener with hamstring tightness and returned to practice on Monday.

Over two full quarters, Gabriel kept the Browns moving and led three scoring drives, one for a touchdown and two for field goals. Perhaps most impressively, Gabriel converted the first five third-down opportunities he faced with completions.
