NYCFC has put the finishing touches on its preseason preparations, closing out the Coachella Valley Invitational on a hopeful note. The men in blue had a productive time in California, doubling down on manager Pascal Jansen’s ‘bulletproof’ mentality and fine-tuning their tactical systems.

The Coachella Valley Invitational is a three-week pre-season soccer event featuring MLS and NWSL clubs and you can catch the action right here on FOX 11.

The Coachella Valley Invitational remains the largest professional soccer preseason event in North America with 14 Major League Soccer and six NWSL clubs taking part this year. Over two weekends, the six NWSL clubs will play two matches each in the beautiful desert surroundings of Empire Polo Club in Indigo. The exhibition matches are open to fans.

The 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) is a three-week pre-season soccer event, which will host clubs from both Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

New York Red Bulls will face off against San Diego FC at 1 p.m. EST, then NYCFC will play the Minnesota United FC at 5:00 p.m.

The LA Galaxy were on the front foot early on and nearly took the lead in the 16th minute. LA got out on the counterattack on the right wing before they changed fields, with Diego Fagúndez ending up with the ball on the left wing in space.
