Two companies have cut ties with Conor McGregor after a civil court jury in Ireland ruled last week that he must pay nearly 250,000 Euros ($257,000) to a woman who accused the mixed martial arts fighter of raping her.

MMA fighter Conor McGregor, who lost a civil rape case on Friday, has said he will instruct his legal team to appeal the verdict, as large crowds in Dublin showed support to the woman involved in the case.

Conor McGregor's longtime fiancée, Dee Devlin, made it very clear in a series of social media posts that she is standing by her man following a high court's decision against the UFC star in a high-profile sexual assault case.

Companies including Irish whiskey brand Proper No. 12 and video game developer IO Interactive are cutting ties with Conor McGregor after he was found liable in a sexual assault case.

The decision, made by the whiskey brand owner, Proximo Spirits, comes just days after the fighter was found liable in an Irish court for the sexual assault of a woman in 2018.

Proper Twelve Irish whiskey will no longer use Conor McGregor's likeness after a jury found he assaulted Nikita Hand in Dublin in 2018.
