The second civil suit for defamation, filed against both iHeartMedia and UMG, accuses the companies of knowingly damaging Drake’s reputation. iHeartMedia, headquartered in San Antonio, is named as a co-defendant alongside UMG in this case.

The star says Universal Music failed to stop the release of a song that called him a sexual predator.

In the new filing, Drake’s attorneys (by way of Frozen Moments, LLC) claim UMG “could have refused to release or distribute the song or required the offending material to be edited and/or removed. But UMG chose to do the opposite.
