Flash Flood Watch issued in Central Indiana, expecting heavy rain and potential severe storms, with rising heat over 100 degrees to follow.

Flash flood warnings were issued for Putnam-Kanawha and Lincoln-Boone for these torrents. Reports of high water along tributaries of the Coal River showed water onto Smith Creek and Big Coal Fork roads. These minor high water events prompt me to add a cautionary tone to tonight’s event.

This is thanks to a slow moving, stubborn frontal system which will bring rounds of heavy rain and storms. Spotty downpours are possible Sunday morning as a cold front stalls out overhead. Most of those will just bring heavy rain or a strike of lightning or two.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Flood Watch for the southern part of the FOX19 NOW viewing area was canceled early Monday. Some areas in the Tri-State saw over 4 inches of rain Sunday. Temperatures are warm to start your work week with morning lows in the 70s. Later, the high temperature will peak in the low 80s under mostly cloudy skies.
The NWS issued a coastal flood alert for San Francisco and surrounding areas effective from 7 PM Monday until midnight Tuesday.
