Three people have been killed in Iran's strikes across central Israel, according to Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency service.

For years, the veteran leader has made the destruction of Iran’s nuclear program his top priority, raising the issue in speech after speech in apocalyptic terms.

"The residents of Tehran will have to pay the price of dictatorship and evacuate their homes from areas where it will be necessary to attack regime targets and security infrastructures in Tehran."

At least 224 people have been killed since Israel began striking Iran on Friday, Iranian state media reported, with civilians making up more than 90% of the casualties.

The death toll is growing as Israel and Iran exchanged missile attacks for a third consecutive day on Sunday, and Israel is warning that worse is to come.

Planned talks on Iran's nuclear program, which could provide an off-ramp, were called off.

“The end will be diplomatic, not military,” one Israeli source told CNN, adding the Israeli hope is now that its ongoing military action “weakens Iran’s negotiating hand” in any future nuclear talks....
