The game will feature arguably two of the best quarterbacks in college in LSU's Garrett Nussmeier and Clemson's Cade Klubnik, both of whom have been uttered this offseason in way-too-early Heisman Trophy consideration this upcoming season.

LSU football will be under the lights when it takes the field for the first time this fall. The Tigers week one battle with Clemson is set for 7:30 PM ET, according to Brett McMurphy. LSU has gotten used to playing Sunday openers after the Tigers began 2022, 2023, and 2024 on Sunday evening. This year, LSU returns to the traditional Saturday spot.

Coach Dabo Swinney’s Tigers went 10-4 last season and returned to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2020. Clemson returns star quarterback Cade Klubnik (43 total touchdowns) and 15 other starters on offense and defense and ranks No. 1 in the country in total returning production, per ESPN.
