Authorities say a man shot and killed two women and two children at separate Minnesota homes before killing himself.

A murder and suicide case is under investigation in Duluth, Minnesota after at least five people were found dead at two homes, police say.

Duluth police have not determined a motive, but Police Chief Mike Ceynowa said at a news conference that the shooter, 46-year-old Anthony Nephew, had a "pattern of mental health issues."
