Democrat Kamala Harris faced Republican Donald Trump on Tuesday in the U.S. presidential election, with the two candidates vying to attract support after staking positions on issues including abortion,

"We know threats against poll workers and election (administrators) have increased dramatically since 2020," law professor Quinn Yeargain said.

Millions of Americans are heading to the polls on Election Day and with the election possibly being one of the closest in history, voters have until 8 p.m. to make their voices heard.

The showing would represent the highest share of Jewish voters by the Democratic Party since 2008, ending years of backsliding.
