The sniper who shot dead two firefighters in an ambush in Idaho was identified Monday as 20-year-old Wess Roley — and an eerie photo shows him delivering a sinister glare into the camera.

Wess Roley once lived in Phoenix, with some of his family still living in the area, according to court records and social media posts.

The man who police believe killed two Idaho firefighters responding to a brush fire after starting the flames himself had wanted to pursue a career in the fire service, his grandfather told CNN.
