Wednesday is a NEXT Weather Alert Day for the possibility of heavy rain and severe storms in the Philadelphia region.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will cross the Baltimore area between noon and 5 p.m. Wednesday. Any storm could have damaging winds.

In Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, there’s a chance of showers before 10 a.m. Wednesday. Expect showers and possibly thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Showers and storms are still possible after 3 p.m. but not as likely. The high temperature in the Triangle should be around 70 degrees.

Thursday in the Philadelphia region will be cloudy and seasonably chilly with a gusty wind that will make it feel much colder.

Atlantic are bracing for rounds of severe weather on Wednesday, and some of those strong to severe thunderstorms could make their way into the Northeast. FOX Weather Correspondent Katie Byrne was in Philadelphia on Wednesday with the latest.
