Another major sign of just how close the election is starts Tuesday: Early in-person voting. As of Friday afternoon, more than 300,000 Wisconsin voters have already cast their absentee ballots. Election Day is a few weeks away but for more than 1,000 Daviess County voters the election is all over but the counting. The first week of voting in Daviess County has seen a regular stream of voters heading to the early polling site at the Kiwanis Building at Washington's Eastside Park.

Nearly a thousand people are expected to flock to libraries, churches and community centers across the state to vote early on Oct. 22.
