Orioles pitcher Zach Eflin, who exited Saturday’s start, has been placed on the 15-day injured list with lower back discomfort.

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Zach Eflin on the 15-day injured list on Monday with low back discomfort. The Orioles also lost catcher Chadwick Tromp during the opener of a three-game series at Texas. Tromp departed in the third inning because of lower back tightness.

For the second time this season, Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Zach Eflin has been placed on the injured list. The Orioles recalled right-hander Brandon Young, and, according to reports, he will start Tuesday's game at Texas.
