CHICAGO (AP) _ Grain futures were mostly lower Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Mar. corn lost 0.25 cent at $4.90 a bushel. Mar. wheat was down 0.25 cent at $5.66 a bushel. Mar. oats gained 0.75 cent at $3.51 a bushel. Mar. soybeans lost 5.75 cents at $10.44 a bushel. Beef was lower and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Mar. oats fell by 0.25 cent at $3.48 a bushel. Mar. soybeans was up 0.5 cent at $10.46 a bushel. Beef was higher and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

CHICAGO (AP) _ Grain futures were higher in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Mar. corn gained 3 cents at $4.85 a bushel. Mar. wheat rose by 4.5 cents at $5.40 a bushel. Mar. oats gained 2.75 cents at $3.53 a bushel. Mar. soybeans rose by 2.25 cents at $10.47 a bushel.

CHICAGO (AP) _ Grain futures were lower in early trading Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Mar. corn lost 6.75 cents at $4.80 a bushel. Mar. wheat was off 3.75 cents at $5.40 a bushel. Mar. oats lost 0.25 cent at $3.60 a bushel. Mar. soybeans lost 11.5 cents at $10.44 a bushel.

The new hybrid board was sworn in on Jan. 15. It includes 10 members elected on Nov. 5, along with 10 members and the president appointed by Mayor Brandon Johnson. The mayor still needs to appoint a final board member.

CANBERRA: Chicago wheat futures were little changed on Thursday after rising 3.2% in the previous session, as concerns about shipments from top exporter Russia triggered buying by speculators. Corn futures sat near a 15-month high hit on Wednesday as dry weather in Argentina and slow planting in Brazil highlighted a weak supply outlook.

Several feet away, Dr. Phil McGraw — a TV talk show host who, along with his camera crew, was embedded with Homeland Security agents as they launched an immigration blitz in the Chicago area on Sunday — opined on the arrest in keeping with his role of de facto spokesman for the operation.
