The RTX 5070 is based on the GB205 die, which makes it the weakest in the RTX 50 series. As WccfTech notes, it has fewer dies than the previous 70-class GPUs but more Cuda, Tensor, and RT cores. It has 12GB of GGD7 VRAM.
This launch date aligns with some previous rumors, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we were still waiting a while for both Nvidia’s mid-range Blackwell GPUs.
The build-up, the sleeping in tents, the stock and pricing anticipation, then the actual RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 launch, followed of course by all those gorgeous, hefty cards being snatched up so quick that the stocks hit zero quicker than you could say "yes,
Nvidia RTX 5060 rumor suggests 8GB of VRAM, with 5060 Ti possibly offering 16GB – a predictable, if disappointing, potential scenario.
As the rumors have insisted for some time, we now know that the RTX 5070 Ti uses the same graphics chip as the RTX 5080, but the RTX 5070 is on a lower tier.
The more expensive of the two, the RTX 5070 Ti at $749, is set to launch on February 20, according to VideoCardz. The outlet claims reviews will go live on February 19 for models set at list price, while cards priced above list will see reviews on Februrary 20. Nvidia has yet to confirm these dates publically, so treat this as a rumor for now.
The Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 release date has arrived, here is where you can pre order and buy the cards in the US, UK, and Canada.
Nvidia is yet to confirm the existence of the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti, but it is expected that there are plans to unveil the GPUs in March. This information also falls in line with a report from last month which pointed out similar memory configurations and the inclusion of the PG152 printed circuit board (PCB) with the GB206 GPU die.
It’s disappointing to see Nvidia has stuck with 16GB of VRAM on the RTX 5080. AMD’s RX 7900 XTX offers 24GB, and while the RTX 5080 delivers better performance for now, it may well hit video memory limits in 4K gaming in the future.
This suggests the RTX 5060 Ti will come with either 8GB or 16GB of VRAM, meaning Nvidia's mid-range GPU will see even further performance gains. If the leak is to be believed, Nvidia could offer both a cheaper version of the RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of video memory and a more powerful 5060 Ti GPU with 16GB.
Numerous Nvidia RTX graphics card variants have recently appeared in a Eurasian Economic Union database, including multiple models of the yet-to-be-announced RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti.
