Mindy Kaling brought back a major 2010s trend for her Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The actress, writer and producer was introduced by her former costar BJ Novak, who she met while filming “The Office.”

Her breakout role on "The Office" and her creating hit shows like "Never Have I Ever" helped make Kaling a trailblazer in Hollywood.

She was a cast member, writer and producer for “The Office” and the creator and star of “The Mindy Project.” She co-created “Running Point,” which comes to
