Diana DeGette, a Denver Democrat, Colorado health care providers said Wednesday that federal cuts to Medicaid being weighed by Republicans in Congress would drastically impair their ability to provide services to patients and keep their doors open.

Colorado is the latest state found to have paid insurance companies to handle care for Medicaid recipients who had died, according to a new report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Inspector General.
As MedRide faces termination of their Medicaid contract, the non-emergency medical transport company (NEMT) told 11 News they are filing an appeal.
