When the ball gets kicked off the center circle of Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, the United States will go down in history as the first host of the most important soccer tournament created this century.

The messaging not been visible during the opening round of fixtures at the tournament in stadiums or on social media platforms.

In a now-deleted social media post, United States Customs and Border Protection exclaimed its agents would be “suited and booted ready to provide security for the first round of games”,

To preview the tournament, The Post caught up with Cobi Jones, a legend of the U.S. men’s national team who knows a thing or two about big soccer games on American soil. Jones, 54, made 164 appearances for the USMNT, including all four matches at the iconic 1994 World Cup hosted in the States.

The Club World Cup starts Saturday and will be played on warm-season grass grown at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in New Jersey.
