Former Pittsburgh Steelers head athletic trainer John Norwig will be honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 ‘Awards of Excellence.’
Longtime Pittsburgh Steelers trainer to be honored by Pro Football Hall of Fame
Norwig was inducted into the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame in 2015, the highest honor someone in the profession can receive in the state. A graduate of Penn State, Norwig headed to Pittsburgh after working at Vanderbilt for seven years as their head trainer. He started his career as an intern with the San Francisco 49ers.
WR Sterling Sharpe elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame
WR Sterling Sharpe, who played seven seasons (1988-94) for the Green Bay Packers, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The announcement was made tonight by the Hall of Fame's selection committee.
