A storm system is expected to impact the region this weekend with widespread snow along with a possible wintry mix. Another shot of arctic air arrives into the region next week with more lake effect snow.

Starting late tonight, a scattered round of wintry mix will move through the area, mainly along and north of I-70. A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect from 3 am to 6 pm Saturday for mixed precipitation along the northern border. A tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is possible with an inch or less of snow accumulation.
