It’s been one week since American Eagle Flight 5342 crashed into the Potomac River, and the work has only begun to recover from the deadliest U.S.

An American Airlines plane and a U.S. Army helicopter collided near Reagan National Airport and crashed into the Potomac River, according to officials.

The bodies of 55 of the 67 victims of the American Airlines jet and Black Hawk helicopter crash have been recovered.
