Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, entered Friday with 141 assists and needed just two to pass Odyssey Sims ' record of 142 set in 2014 when the franchise was known as the Tulsa Shock. It didn't take long for Bueckers to take care of business.

Dallas Wings rookie sensation Paige Bueckers broke the franchise record for most assists in a rookie season on Friday night in a game against the Los Angeles Sparks, picking up her 143rd assist midway through the first quarter.

Plum scores 28 points, Dearica Hamby adds 20 and the Sparks held on for a 97-96 road win after Bueckers’ contested 3-point shot rolls off the rim as time expires.
