The latest: Super Bowl LIX, slated for Feb. 9, 2025, in New Orleans, will feature locally born stars Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty and Ledisi during pregame performances. Lafayette native Lauren Daigle will also be part of the show, the NFL announced.

The performances will take place Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans before the NFL's championship matchup and halftime show featuring rap megastar Kendrick Lamar.

The four artists will perform ahead of rapper Kendrick Lamar taking the stage for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Batiste grew to fame while he was the bandleader on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He's worked with many big stars in the music industry over the years, performing with them and producing their music. He's known for his singing talent along with his ability to play multiple instruments, including the piano.
