U.S. District Judge Loren AliKhan indefinitely blocked the Trump administration’s federal funding freeze Tuesday. AliKhan ruled in favor of the National Council of Nonprofits’ claim the freeze is a violation of the First Amendment and exceeded the granted authority of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

A federal judge on Tuesday continued to block the Office of Management and Budget from freezing federal assistance, delivering another blow to the Trump administration's ongoing efforts to shrink federal spending.
