Kyle Schwarber is off to a torrid start in the 2025 season, and his on-base streak has caught the attention of everyone in the Phillies clubhouse.

After signing a four-year, $79 million deal to join the Phillies in 2022, Schwarber could become a free agent at the end of the season if the Phillies don't lock him into an extension first. And as he leads the National League in homers going into Monday, he's sure to have plenty of suitors if he can keep up his current pace.

The Phillies have said they’ll take things slow with Painter, their top prospect and one of the top prospects in baseball, after his Tommy John surgery last year. The goal is to build him up to 90/95 pitches, which will likely be his max this year, before a big league return.
