The winners of the Walter Cup in the PWHL’s first season endured an overtime loss in the opener of their second season. Like last year, that ends nothing.

Despite a strong first period that looked to be in their control, the Minnesota Frost lost momentum and lost in overtime to the Sirens.

Before the puck dropped, the Minnesota Frost were recognized for their inaugural season championship​ with a presentation of the Walter Cup and a banner raised into the rafters of the Xcel Energy Center to permanently remember their championship.
