Shares of the newly listed NTPC Green Energy surged 4% in today's session, reaching Rs 127.55 on the BSE, following the successful commissioning of the first part (55 MW) of the 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project.

The much-awaited IPO was listed on6, 2024. Maharatna PSU NTPC-backed NTPC Green Energy debuted by more than 3% on BSE and NSE after its Rs 10,000 crore IPO was fully subscribed last week.

Market analysts remain optimistic on the long-term outlook but expect a muted listing gain for the company's shares
