In their first appearance on the campaign trail together, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama made an economic-centered pitch to Georgia voters, appealing particularly to black men.

In his first joint campaign rally with Vice President Kamala Harris, Obama made fun of former President Donald Trump 's "word salad" speeches, as well as Trump's claim that he singlehandedly delivered the US a strong economy. "Yeah, it was good," Obama said as the audience laughed and applauded. "It was my economy."

At a star-filled rally in Georgia that also featured Tyler Perry and Samuel L. Jackson, the former president tried to give a jolt of energy to the vice president often seen as a successor.
