The Orlando Pride held off the Washington Spirit 1-0 to claim their first NWSL Championship title in Kansas City on Saturday, as Zambian striker Barbra Banda added one more lethal performance to a blockbuster year.

In a season full of worthy contenders, it was the league leader Orlando Pride who took home the top prize. Forward Barbra Banda, who has led the team for much of the season, scored the game’s lone goal.
