The New York Rangers have reportedly decided to convey the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NHL draft to the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of the trade they made for forward J.T. Miller during the 2024-25 season.

The New York Rangers agreed to a JT Miller trade during the 2024-25 NHL season, acquiring the star forward from the Vancouver Canucks. On Tuesday, the Rangers officially satisfied the terms of the deal by sending a pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins, per hockey insider Pierre LeBrun.

The Rangers had to decide whether to send the Penguins this year's first-rounder or next year's to complete the J.T. Miller trade.
