The Indiana Hoosiers have an opportunity to get one win in The Bahamas in the seventh-place game against Providence.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako and fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway accounted for seven of Indiana’s eight made 3-pointers. With both players on the court for over 30 minutes, the Friars were forced to leave junior forward Malik Reneau isolated in the post. Reneau finished with 21 points in as many minutes on 8-for-9 shooting.

No. 14 Indiana pulls away in the second half for an 89-73 victory, dooming the Friars to last place in the eight-team field.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako led the Hoosiers in scoring with 25 points on 9-for-14 shooting, including 4 for 7 from distance. Junior forward Malik Reneau followed with 21 points, while fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway added 18 points and five assists.

Mackenzie Mgbako, Trey Galloway and Malik Reneau stepped up after two losses and led Indiana to an 89-73 win over Providence in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Indiana went on a 9-4 run to end the first half to lead by 10 at halftime 44-34. Then they would lead by as many as 19 in the second half on their way to victory. They also held Providence without a field goal for the final 3:36.
