Rookie QB Quinn Ewers threw his first two NFL touchdown passes, albeit in an exhibition, in Saturday’s preseason win over the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.

On Saturday, in a preseason game against the Detroit Lions, Ewers put himself on the board with his first career NFL touchdown pass. It came with just over 4-and-a-half minutes played in the 3rd quarter, as the former Texas QB connected with Theo Wease Jr. as the Dolphins tied the game at 14.

Two drives later, the Lions responded. Although the Dolphins bottled up the run, key catches from receivers Isaac TeSlaa and Jackson Meeks, the latter of whom hauled in the 11-yard touchdown, allowed the Lions to tie up the game.
