"It gives us an opportunity to draw in people who try us, but would have never done that without those dinners," said co-owner John Nealon.

The fire was put out in 20 minutes, but crews remained to look for hotspots. A hole in the roof was cut to vent out the heat and smoke.

The clinical trial service was started over three months ago and is only available in the Northeast. The plan is to make it a national service by the end of this year.

Ganim tells News 12 the department is working with a company called Flock Safety Group, who pioneered the use of drones to help keep communities safe.
