Super Micro Computer was slipping early Tuesday after an impressive run higher. The server maker has been rising sharply since it said it had appointed a new auditor and had a plan to submit earnings and prevent its delisting.

The stock jumped 15.9% today, meaning it's now doubled since Nov. 15. There was no company-specific news out on the stock today, but shares continued their march higher as investors seemed to believe the risk in the stock was significantly reduced since it filed to stay in compliance and hired a new auditor.

When I think about stocks with millionaire-maker potential, I typically envision fast-growing companies with small valuations -- two characteristics Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ: SMCI) has in spades.

That said, the stock is now trading with a market cap of about $15 billion. Even if the stated guidance is reduced by one-third and extrapolated for a full 12-month period, annual revenue would total more than $15 billion. That would result in a price-to-sales ratio of about 1, and that could be an interesting place to start an investment.

After scoring a record rally last week, the server maker’s stock was rallying toward a third straight double-digit percentage gain for the first time ever.
