Tropical Storm Dexter formed on Sunday night, Aug. 3, becoming the fourth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.

The National Hurricane Center said the storm will speed up through early Tuesday and then slow down on Wednesday when it will likely become post-tropical. While it may strengthen somewhat during this time frame, it poses no threat to land.
