A Winter Weather Advisory sparked by the incoming snow system on Saturday has been issued for a large swath of counties across Mid-Michigan and Northern Michigan. The advisory cautions of worsening driving conditions on Saturday. It runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

As the next winter weather event approaches, a weather alert is in place for Saturday. Light freezing drizzle and snow showers could make untreated roads and sidewalks slippery and dangerous. Clouds increase overnight tonight as the storm approaches from the west.

On Friday at 3:14 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Saturday 5 p.m. until Sunday 11 a.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
