The fire, which is now fully contained, started along Bear Road in Golden Gate Canyon at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. It was estimated to be 7.5 acres in size.
The fire was in Golden Gate Canyon near the 4200 block of Bear Road, about 3 miles up the canyon, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
