LOWELL, Mass. — Hilary Knight scored her first career hat trick, Aerin Frankel made 38 saves and the Boston Fleet completed a season sweep of the New York Sirens with a 5-2 win on Wednesday night.

The five goals were a season high for the Fleet who have won five of six and leaped over Toronto into second place by 2 points.

Hilary Knight’s first PWHL hat trick – and the Fleet’s first hat trick performance – came for the Fleet, a team looking to sweep the regular season series against the struggling New York Sirens. The Fleet ultimately won 5-2 through their third-period performance that saw two goals for Boston and the only period to see the Sirens put up fewer than 10 shots on goal.
