Williamsburg's Derek Weisskopf and Panorama's Jaidyn Sellers were named the Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year, respectively, Monday night at the Iowa High School Sports Awards, presented by SCHEELS.

Derek Weisskopf of Williamsburg is The Gazette’s 2024 Male Athlete of the Year. Team oriented is a virtually unanimous description of the soon-to-be Iowa Hawkeyes linebacker.
