Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena Party leader, Pawan Kalyan, announced on Saturday that he will embark on an 11-day penance to seek divine intervention following allegations of animal fats being used in the famous Tirupati laddus.

Prakash Raj accuses Andhra Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan of turning the regional issue of the use of adulterated ghee in Tirupati laddoos into a national controversy.

The situation escalated when the TTD confirmed lab results backing claims that animal fat, including lard (pig fat), had been found in the ghee used for the laddoos.
