Winter weather is making its presence known across the U.S. as millions of people deal with the onslaught of a long-duration, lake-effect snowstorm that has paralyzed communities.

It won't bring us a lot in the way of rain and snow coverage, but it will bring a blast of arctic air. This means single digit feels like temps are likely in Cincinnati by Thursday morning. Tuesday comes with cold sunshine and highs in the low 30s.

A frigid morning ahead for much of the country Tuesday On Tuesday morning, 76 million residents across the U.S. will wake up to below-freezing temperatures. On Monday, more than 72 million people were experiencing temperatures at or below freezing in the mid-afternoon.

The highest snow accumulations are expected east of Lake Ontario, where some isolated areas could get up to 60 inches of lake effect snow early in the week.
