Barrick Gold Corp. closed C$6.52 below its 52-week high of C$29.50, which the company achieved on October 21st.

Mali's government and Barrick Gold will start a new round of negotiations on Tuesday to resolve a deepening dispute over the alleged nonpayment of taxes by the Canadian miner and the seizure of its gold stocks by authorities in the country,

The negotiations will focus on Mali's demand for $199m (CFA Fr125.15bn), compliance with the new mining code and the release of the seized gold.
