Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz has been tracking the storm all day and said if you live in the far North Georgia Mountains, you’re mainly going to get snow.

The snow may be over in north Georgia, but dropping temperatures in the next few hours will lead to dangerous conditions on metro Atlanta's roads and potential power outages.

Snow and ice is expected in north Georgia and metro Atlanta by Friday morning with a quick change over to rain and freezing rain for much of the day. Many schools and government offices have already closed ahead of the storm.
