The EXA100 integrated amplifier and EXN100 network streamer form the new Cambridge Audio EX-Series, filling a gap left when the brand's Azur 851 range was discontinued.

British audio legends Cambridge Audio has launched its new EX Series, consisting of the EXN100 Music Streamer and EXA100 Stereo Integrated Amplifier.

Cambridge Audio introduces the EXA100 stereo integrated amplifier for $2,199 and the EXN100 Network Music Streamer for $1,799.

According to Cambridge, the EXA100 is the spiritual successor to the Azur 851 range, promising 100wpc of Class A/B amplification from power transistors pulled from the company’s more costly Edge M monoblocks. Those are juiced by a large toroidal transformer and flanked by heavy-duty heatsinks that can be seen through the top-panel cooling grilles.

British brand Cambridge Audio has revealed a music streamer and integrated stereo amp pair, the EXN100 and EXA100 respectively, offering a high-end audio input/output upgrade compared to its CNX-series products.

Cambridge Audio has unveiled its new EX Series components, comprising the EXN100 Music Streamer and EXA100 stereo integrated amplifier. The EXN100 utilises the ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 Reference DAC from CXN100, but improves connectivity with the addition of HDMI eARC, Bluetooth aptX HD and a 25 per cent larger 1280x720 colour display.

Devices can be connected through USB, Coaxial and TOSLINK, as well as wirelessly with Chromecast, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth aptX HD. For music sharing, EXN100 is fully compatible with Google Home, Apple AirPlay and Roon multi-room systems.
