Ford is recalling about 144,500 of its Maverick pickup trucks over concerns that the rearview camera display could show a frozen image while backing up.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued recall notifications for over 161,000 F-150 and Maverick vehicles for parking lights that may flicker and a rearview camera malfunction.

Ford Motor is recalling over 144,000 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles in the U.S. citing rearview camera image freezing when the vehicle is in reverse, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.

The United Auto Workers union announced on Wednesday that members at Ford Motor Company's River Rouge tool and die unit will go on strike on Sept. 26 if an agreement is not reached.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) union said on Wednesday it has set a strike deadline at Ford's tool and die unit in the River Rouge Complex over local contract issues.

The tool and die unit at Ford Motor Co.'s River Rouge complex will strike on Sept. 26 if local contract issues are not resolved, the UAW said.
