According to Hartford police, officers were dispatched to St. Francis Hospital on a report of a gunshot arriving for treatment. When they arrived, officers learned that the victim, a man in his 40s, was suffering from a single gunshot, and that he is currently listed in critical condition.

Officers received a ShotSpotter notification near 43 New Britain Ave. just before 3 a.m. and found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound when they responded to the area, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
