Dart returned to Ole Miss in 2024 with hopes of leading the Rebels to the College Football Playoff. Those hopes have lessened after losses to Kentucky, LSU and Florida this season, but even if Ole Miss isn't able to backdoor its way into the playoff, Dart's time in Oxford should be remembered for how much he accomplished in the Rebels program.

Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart issued an apology to his teammates, coaches and fans following the loss to Florida on Saturday.

Jaxson Dart and the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels may have lost their shot at a spot in the College Football Playoff after falling to the Florida Gators 24-17 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Week 13 of the 2024 college football season.

Ole Miss forced a quick 3-and-out and got the ball back for the offense, but it was for not. Dart was picked off by Florida’s Dijon Johnson with 24 seconds on the clock. Officials eventually overturned the call, ruling that Johnson did not maintain possession through the ground.

Ole Miss and Florida will kick off from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville at noon ET on Saturday, and the game will be airing on ABC. The Rebels are currently favored by 10 points.
