The BJP-led Mahayuti painted Maharashtra a vivid saffron on Saturday, sweeping aside the MVA in a landslide victory, while the opposition INDIA bloc retained power in Jharkhand. In both states, voters gave a resounding endorsement to the incumbent parties.

The results are in and the Mahayuti alliance — comprising the BJP, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena — have secured a stunning victory in the state of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the JMM-Congress alliance in Jharkhand has defied exit polls and triumphed.
