Al Pacino has opened up about his early struggles on the set of The Godfather, revealing how he was almost “fired” from the production amid doubts over his performance. The actor, 84, played the role of Michael Corleone, the prodigal son of mafia boss Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) in the seminal 1972 crime film.
