A day after Wisconsin suffered a 16-13 home loss against No. 1 Oregon on Nov. 16., head coach Luke Fickell relieved offensive coordinator Phil Longo of his duties. Fickell thanked Longo for his time with the team during his weekly press conference on Monday.

Wisconsin made the decision to move on from offensive coordinator Phil Longo on Sunday afternoon, instituting a major change with just two games left in the season. The Badgers need at least one more win to extend their streak of 22 straight seasons with a bowl game.

After their upset bid over No. 1 Oregon came up short, Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football team decided to fire offensive coordinator Phil Longo. After leading successful offenses at North Carolina with Sam Howell and Drake Maye at quarterback, there was hope he could do the same with the Badgers.
